Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 June 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Shamil Niyas, trading as Shamrocks Games (“we”, “us”, “our”), a sole proprietor based in Germany, for your use of BillBook Business (the “Service”). Our full business details are in the Legal Notice (Impressum). By using the Service you agree to these terms.
What BillBook Business is
BillBook Business is software that helps you keep your own business records — invoices, receipts, cashbook entries, orders, stock and customer details — and prepare documents from them. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for keeping your own backups; you can export your data at any time.
What it is not
BillBook Business is record-keeping software only. It is not a bank or e-money service, not a payment, money-transfer or wallet service, not a lender, not an investment, securities or insurance product, and not a gambling or betting service. It is not a marketplace, an app or game store, or a platform for buying, selling or distributing digital content — you use it to keep your own business records and do not sell digital goods, downloads or content through BillBook. It does not move money, hold funds, connect to your bank or card networks, or file anything with any tax authority on your behalf. It does not provide accounting certification, legal advice or tax advice. Any totals, tax or other figures are ordinary arithmetic on the numbers you enter, provided for your own review — please have important figures checked by a qualified professional before relying on them.
Your account
Some features need an account. Signing in with Google is optional; if you use “Continue with Google”, you authorise Google to share your basic profile (name, email address and profile picture) so we can create and secure your account. Your use of Google sign-in is also subject to Google’s own terms, and our handling of that data is described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for activity under your account.
Plans, billing and our Merchant of Record
BillBook Business offers a free plan and paid subscriptions (Premium, Premium Plus and Premium Max). Current prices and what each plan includes are shown on our Pricing page.
Paid subscriptions are sold and processed through our Merchant of Record, Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited and its affiliates, “Paddle”). When you buy a subscription, Paddle is the authorised reseller and seller of record for that transaction. Your purchase is therefore also governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Paddle’s Privacy Policy. Paddle handles billing, payment, invoicing and the calculation and collection of any applicable VAT or sales tax, which is shown at checkout.
Subscriptions renew automatically — monthly plans each month, yearly plans each year — at the renewal price shown to you before you purchase, until you cancel. We never charge a price you have not seen first.
Cancellations and refunds
You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. How cancellations and refunds work, including your statutory right of withdrawal in the EU, is explained in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Acceptable use
Please use the Service lawfully and only for your own business records. Do not misuse it — for example by attempting to break, overload or reverse-engineer it, by uploading unlawful content, or by using it to infringe anyone’s rights. We may suspend access that puts the Service or other users at risk.
Your data and content
Your records are yours. We do not sell them and we do not claim ownership of them. You grant us only the limited permission needed to host, process and back up your data so the Service can work for you (for example, optional cloud sync). You are responsible for having the right to store the information you enter, including any customer details.
Our intellectual property
The BillBook Business software, design, brand and content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. These terms do not transfer any of those rights to you beyond the right to use the Service as intended.
Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features over time. If we make a significant change that affects a paid plan you hold, we will give reasonable notice.
Warranty and liability
The Service is provided with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data that you have not backed up. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law — including liability for intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz), or under mandatory consumer-protection law. Your statutory warranty rights for paid digital products and services under German and EU law remain unaffected.
Governing law and your consumer rights
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you use the Service as a consumer, you also keep the protection of any mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you live, and mandatory EU consumer law is unaffected. Information on consumer dispute resolution is in our Legal Notice (Impressum).
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves; the date above reflects the current version. If a change materially affects your rights, we will give reasonable notice. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
