Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 11 June 2026
This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for BillBook Business paid subscriptions. The Free plan is free — there is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund. Paid subscriptions (Premium, Premium Plus and Premium Max) are sold through our Merchant of Record, Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited), so payments and refunds are processed by Paddle on our behalf. These are subscriptions for access to the BillBook software only; BillBook is not a marketplace and you do not buy or sell digital content through it.
Cancel anytime
You can cancel a paid subscription at any time. When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and it simply does not renew after that — you are not charged again. You keep your data and can continue on the Free plan or export everything at any time.
How to cancel
You can cancel from within the app, from the subscription-management link in your Paddle receipt email, or by emailing us at support@billbookbusiness.com and we will help. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not, by itself, refund a payment already made (see below).
Refunds
We want you to be happy with BillBook Business. If something has gone wrong, contact support@billbookbusiness.com and we will look at it fairly and quickly. We will always refund:
- duplicate or accidental charges;
- a charge taken after you had already cancelled in time;
- a renewal you tell us about promptly and had not intended, where you have not meaningfully used the new period; and
- any case where a refund is required by law.
Beyond those, because a subscription gives you immediate access to the full Service, refunds for time already elapsed on a started period are at our reasonable discretion. Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to your original payment method. Taxes collected at checkout are refunded together with a refunded charge where the law requires.
Your EU/UK right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for a distance purchase. Because BillBook Business is a digital service that begins as soon as you subscribe, the checkout asks for your express consent to start it immediately and your acknowledgement that, once the service has been fully provided, the right of withdrawal is lost (§ 356 BGB / Consumer Rights Directive). Where the service has only partly been provided, any withdrawal is settled on a pro-rata basis. This statutory right is in addition to the fair-refund practice described above and is never reduced by it.
Renewals
Monthly plans renew each month and yearly plans renew each year, at the renewal price shown to you before you bought, until you cancel. To avoid the next charge, cancel before the renewal date. Your renewal price is always shown before any charge is taken.
